Students work in small groups to create an original track and short video while gaining practical experience with how sound and media are produced. \nStudents will learn: \n-How to record vocals and instruments using microphones and audio interfaces\n-Beat-making and arranging music using digital tools (DAWs & MIDI)\n-Basics of mixing\, sound levels\, and audio signal flow\n-Intro to video shooting\, framing\, and editing\n-How to complete and export a finished audio and video project \nThere are three weeks of this camp\, each enrollment is for one week only:  6/15-6/19; 7/13-7/17\, or 8/3-8/7. \nSelect the week you want to register for at checkout. \nPresented in partnership with The Music Company TMC. \nSmall-group\, project-based instruction \n● Professional tech access in real studios \n● Safety compliance and background-checked staff \n  \n\n\n\nSample Class Format\n\n\n\n\nCore Project: Audio + Video Integration\nEach group of three students will complete one integrated project:\nAudio Component\nCreate a 60–90 second original music track\nUse digital audio workstations\, controllers\, and audio interfaces\nRecord at least one vocal or instrument\nApply basics of signal flow\, gain staging\, and mixing\nExport a finished audio file\nVideo Component\nCapture a 15–30 second video\nLearn framing\, lighting\, and audio-for-video considerations\nEdit video in structured workflows\nExport final video for sharing\nThese components highlight how digital tools and systems work together in real media creation.\nLearning Outcomes (Music Technology Emphasis)\nBy the end of the workshop\, students will be able to:\nDescribe how sound is captured and digitized\nOperate digital audio equipment and software\nApply editing and basic mixing techniques\nCapture and assemble video with sound awareness\nWork collaboratively to solve development and creative challenges\nPresent a finished media project\n\n\n\nWhat To Bring\n\n\n\n\nPlease have your student bring a non-breakable water bottle.

TMC offers 2 hours of free\, validated parking. We are unable to validate for the parking lot in front of our building; street parking is also an option.
