Celina Rescott & The Embers

Celina is originally from Upstate NY and has been living in San Diego for 4.5 years now. Music has always been apart of her life, starting with piano lessons in 2nd grade, she began singing alongside her playing. She found her way into musical theatre and singing the national anthem at sporting events as a means of performance. The musical theatre influences her style of singing and performance to this day. But she always sang other people’s music, she never really tried writing anything, didn’t feel she had anything to say.

She started dabbling with writing some things here and there a few years ago and really started writing more routinely once she got immersed in the music scene here in San Diego. The beginning of her adult life was spent in the corporate world but once she found herself out here in San Diego, you could say she found herself a bit more and left the 9-5 world to pursue other creative ventures.

She played her first show here solo on the keys and that was where she was first scouted to front a local rock band project. While doing that, she started to really discover herself as a rock artist. She began picking up more solo gigs on the keys over time and when she parted ways with that project, she had enough ideas of her own to begin her own project.

That’s when she gathered the group of musicians to back her, now known as The Embers. They had a breakout year in 2025, playing their first show in April here in San Diego, touring in the Northeast in July, dropping their debut EP, MIND GAMES in August and following it up with another single release, “I’m Not Me” in November. “Cigarette Kisses” was featured in a fan film released on YouTube, Halloween Aftermath.

If you’ve seen them perform here in San Diego, you’ve come to know the shows as quite interactive and chaotic. She decided to call it a “pop rockera experience”. This year they’re taking the project across the pond, touring in the UK and Amsterdam in March. Beyond that they have plans to release more of the music they’ve written and continue writing more to release.
