As Executive Director of The Music Company (TMC), Ted leads efforts to create pathways into the creative economy for people of all backgrounds, including artists, performers, audio engineers, producers, videographers, and the many professionals who power the music industry.Before joining TMC, Ted spent more than two decades leading product strategy, marketing, customer success, and business transformation for global software companies. He now applies that experience to building partnerships, expanding career opportunities, and creating a stronger, more sustainable music ecosystem for San Diego.

Randall Jones
Board Member
Randall Jones is an internationally recognized DJ, producer, and founder of Mynt Music. His career has taken him to clubs and festivals around the world, while his music has appeared on television, in advertising, and on leading electronic music labels. His experience as an independent artist and entrepreneur brings an important perspective as TMC continues to support producers, DJs, and electronic musicians alongside artists working across every genre.

Naomi Hamels
Board Member
Naomi Hamels is Vice President of Marketing at Altium, where she leads global marketing initiatives and works across executive, product, sales, and creative teams. Her background also includes finance and business strategy, giving her experience in both organizational growth and financial planning. Hamels brings valuable perspective in strategic planning, financial stewardship, and communications as TMC continues to expand its programs and community partnerships.

Jameson Yingling
Board Member
Jameson Yingling is a documentary filmmaker, educator, and founder of Existential Co. He previously co-founded Sugarshack Media, helping build one of the country’s leading independent live music platforms, and now serves as Artist-in-Residence and Co-Director of the ROCK of Ages program at Florida Gulf Coast University. His experience in storytelling, filmmaking, and education will help TMC continue growing its original productions and sharing the stories of San Diego’s music community.

Patricio Pickslay
Board Member
Patricio Pickslay is President of Pacific Records and an award-winning producer, songwriter, composer, educator, and music executive. For nearly three decades, he has worked with artists across multiple genres while producing music for records, film, and television. He brings extensive experience in recording, production, artist development, and the music business, helping ensure TMC’s programs remain connected to the realities of today’s industry.

Haley McCollough
Board Member
Haley McCullough is an entertainment attorney specializing in music publishing, media, intellectual property, and entertainment law. As an Associate Attorney at peermusic, the world’s largest independent music publisher, she works with artists, songwriters, and rights holders on publishing agreements and legal matters affecting the music business. Her experience strengthens TMC’s connection to the industry’s business and legal side while supporting the organization’s governance and long-term growth.

Eric Starr
Board Member
Dr. Eric Starr is a performer, educator, and music entrepreneur whose work spans higher education, performance, and nonprofit leadership. He serves on the faculty at San Diego State University, where he teaches trombone and euphonium, directs brass chamber music, advises the Music, Entrepreneurship and Business degree program, and serves as faculty advisor to the Aztec Music Group. He has been recognized as SDSU’s “Most Influential Faculty” three times. Starr brings a deep understanding of music education, artist development, and community engagement to his role as Board Chair.
