Rafa Pondé has decades of experience as a musician, but he arrived in San Diego without a creative home base. He’d been writing, touring, and producing for years, yet still needed a space that felt welcoming, affordable, and equipped for the full-band sound he envisioned.
When a friend mentioned The Music Company, Rafa stopped by expecting a small room. What he found was a full studio ecosystem: instruments, live rooms, engineers, and a community that immediately pulled him in. He began recording with TMC’s engineers and quickly realized he could create far more than he initially planned.
Rafa describes feeling more connected with his band inside TMC’s walls, energized by the environment and supported by engineers who understood his vision. Instead of a transactional studio experience, he found people who cared about the craft and the culture.
Today, Rafa is mid-process on his next album, taking his time and letting the space elevate his sound. He’s in motion, finding new creative possibilities because TMC gives him the tools, the inspiration, and the community to keep evolving.
