Two Brothers, One Journey: Leveling Up Through Education and Community
Connor and Trevor Drake had been DJing and producing separately for years, mostly on laptops and prosumer gear. When they finally teamed up, they knew they wanted to push their sound further, but professional studios felt intimidating, expensive, and out of reach for artists still learning the ropes.
That changed when they walked into TMC. With hands-on guidance from one of TMC’s in-house engineers, the brothers learned how to work with hardware, mixers, and studio monitors that had always felt out of reach. They were not treated like outsiders. They were treated like developing artists. Asking questions wasn’t embarrassing; it was encouraged.
As they spent more weekends producing at TMC, their confidence grew. They started experimenting with new techniques, collaborating with other artists in the building, and finding inspiration simply by being around a community of creatives. One of their favorite tracks even came from a spontaneous walk-in collaboration with another TMC artist.
“Because of TMC, we see music differently,” they shared. “We feel more capable than ever.” TMC gave them the education, community, and encouragement they needed to keep moving forward.
