On March 15, 2025, The Music Company (TMC) hosted its first-ever Music Matters Benefit Concert at The Barrel Room at AleSmith. Over 200 supporters showed up to celebrate and support The Music Company, and San Diego’s vibrant music scene. The night saw powerful performances by Hannah Geller, Kela Sako and Sandollar.

Behind the scenes, a team of incredible volunteers kept everything running smoothly—from check-in, merch, sound support and auction logistics. Their passion and dedication made the night feel personal, purposeful, and full of spirit and love for music.

The silent auction was a huge success, with standout items like a Gibson electric guitar and a Vox acoustic sparking bidding wars and ultimately finding new homes—all while raising critical funds for TMC’s programs. With help from our generous community, silent auction donors, volunteers, staff and artists, we made the first Music Matters Benefit Concert a success. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
